History

Chirnside Park Football Club was formed in 1978 by Tommy Hardstaff who saw the need for a new club in the growing community. Originally part of the Chirnside Park country Club we began our journey playing in Melbourne jumpers with 2 junior teams in the EFL.
Through a club name competition in 1979 we became known as The Panthers then changing our club colors to orange and black.
While only having junior teams in 1984 we moved to our current facility in Kimberley Drive with our original rooms being completed in 1985.
In 1990 the club committed to an under 18 team in the VAFA with a view to fielding a Senior team which came to fruition in 1991 as our inaugural Mens Senior Team.
The year 2000 was a new era for the club as we began our Senior football journey in the EFL joining our growing number of junior teams with new colors of the black, gold & white which we now proudly wear.
We then had to wait until 2009 for our first Senior Club Premiership a year in which we introduced youth girls football in the form of the Pink Panthers
2019 would see our Senior Women win the Premier Division Premiership.
Redevelopment of our rooms begins in 2021 to cater for the growth in players in all areas of the club.
2022 sees us with Auskick, Junior Boys & Girls teams, Senior Men & Women along with Masters Men & Womens teams as we look forward to a successful season.
