Another fantastic clinic was held today with a crisp morning greeting us all. The weather gods must have been with us for our last normal clinic.

The tap on the shoulder came early as a young Hawthorn player by the name of Josh Kennedy greeted me. He was a shy kid who had come to be involved with the kids. Josh went from group to group and joined in the activities of each level. The younger kids were in awe and their eyes were lighting up when he came to each group.

The clinic was buzzing with Josh  joining us and 3 senior boys coming down and working again with the 4,5,6's. The senior boys have supported us all year and come finals time will welcome your support.

As I made my way around the oval I was impressed with the high energy levels in all the groups.

The sun was now warming and the activities in the groups were well under way. Again I witnessed some fun activities in the younger groups with Ball chasey and Mr Wolf.

The older kids played a game which Josh Kennedy joined in on. He struggled to get a kick. “Try harder we said” he moved himself into the backline and finally he got the ball and shanked the first two torpedos out of bounce. The boys ripped into as we walked off the ground and he then goaled from 55 metres. The kids jaws dropped. Drop punt much easier to perfect boys!!!!

BBQ help still required.
