During the week as a team we discussed how our home games have been our worst ground for goal kicking accuracy and the need to try and amend this statistic.
We started off slow in the first quarter as many players went kick chasing, our run and support for our team mate was not there. If not for some wayward kicking by our opposition, the quarter time difference may have been a lot closer.
The second quarter the players were starting to work a lot harder and in particular the forward line who were creating options. As a result we kicked 6 goals or the term and went into half time with a commanding lead but still not playing to our team sharing best football.
The third quarter was our best term for the game, as it has often been for most of the year. The half backline and midfield was very dominate with some of the best run past handball receives for the year…..pleasure to watch.
In the final quarter the game pressure and intensity dropped off a little but we still managed to have our best return for the game.
All in all a very pleasuring result for the boys and finally we got some goal kicking accuracy at home and secured top spot.
